Ms. Strauss has assisted clients with marketing strategy necessary for employer outreach and engagement, for special projects including:

TalentABQ As an employer outreach consultant, assisted with strategy, marketing content, and engaging employers to participate in skills based hiring for an initiative funded by Kellogg and the City of ABQ, and a collaboration amongst ABQ Mayor Richard Berry, Innovate+Educate, Central NM Community College (CNM), and the NM Department of Workforce Services (DWS). Talent ABQ was designed to connect employers and job seekers through the common language of skills. Skills based hiring helps employers discover candidates often overlooked in traditional hiring, ensuring the growth and success of local business, residents and economic development.

Soft Skills Research Study As a consultant, recruited business and civic leaders to participate in the study and gives input into survey design for the Hewlett Foundation funded soft skills study, directed by Dr. Merrilea Mayo, designed to determine the workplace behaviors important to employers in order to build an emotional intelligence assessment for employers as well as a curriculum for teachers.

Close It Summit As a consultant, partnered to develop employer break out session vision, and engage speakers. Served as moderator for panels. Partnered to develop strategy and campaign to attract employers to attend the national summit produced by Innovate+Educate gathering leaders from industry, government, education, foundations, nonprofit and social venture organizations in Washington, D.C. to challenge the status quo and actively engaged in finding solutions to close the skills gap and bridge the opportunity divide.

Created and executed the Hire Awards (now Shift Awards) presented at the annual Close It Summits sponsored by US News and World Report, judged by SHRM, Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and National Association of Workforce Boards. Winners included Boeing and Bank of America.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Marketing Strategy Performed SWOT analysis, facilitated strategic planning sessions and advised Executive Director and Clinical Director on positioning of EAP benefit to employers.
