About Linda

BACKGROUND AND SERVICES

Linda Strauss, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, is a Human Resources (HR) professional with over 25 years of experience. As a consultant, Ms. Strauss provides services such as leadership development, coaching, and career advisement to professionals in all industries and levels, preparing them for success in their next steps. Ms. Strauss also provides clients with the training, strategic HR programs, coaching, infrastructure, and knowledge necessary to manage employment issues with comfort, confidence and compliance. In addition, Ms. Strauss delivers soft skills training including interpersonal and communications skills, and emotional intelligence training, designed to enhance success and engagement in work and life.

Since 2011, Ms. Strauss has provided clients with customized leadership training, and presented keynote speeches, to clients including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Wells Fargo, TempurSealy, as well as other corporate, non-profit, governmental, and individual clients.

  • Linda and I worked together on a fairly significant project to design a new measurement instrument for soft skills (21st Century skills). The project involved substantial recruiting of, and interaction with, employers to try to convince them to fill out surveys necessary for the data collection part of the work. Linda and her colleague Karen Mickool managed to do what no test development company I know of (and I work with some big ones!) was able to pull off - getting 50-60 completed surveys finished in about 2 weeks. This may not seem like much, but the usual survey response rate is about 4-5%. It was a tribute to the strength of Linda and Karen's relationships with a large number of employers, that they were able to pull this off. Linda's fast-turnaround time to requests for information, her ability to execute to a high level of detail, her attention to deadlines, and her easygoing but professional demeanor made the entire complex project, which could easily have turned into a quagmire, into a dead easy no-brainer. Highly recommended.

  • It was been my pleasure to serve under Linda’s leadership on the Board of the Northern New Mexico Human Resource Association. As President of our busy Association, Linda has been a model leader.
