Judy Perkins
BACKGROUND AND SERVICES
Judy Perkins is a collaborative Human Resources and Wellness Consultant (sometimes referred to as a “Fractional Director of HR”) who guides leaders of organizations on visioning and strategic planning and “all things HR” --- from hiring to firing and everything in-between. Her expertise as a thought partner and advisor to entrepreneurial leaders and Boards of Directors has created successful and significant results.
Judy is uniquely qualified to guide for-profit and non-profit organizations to crystalize and fulfill their visions and missions and to optimize HR.
Judy currently provides consulting to organizations in a variety of industries: aerospace; substance abuse recovery; social justice; women’s issues; legal; financial services; estate planning; hospitality and more!
Prior to consulting, Judy was the Director of Human Resources for over seven years at Ojo Spa Resorts (Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa; Ojo Santa Fe). For thirteen years before that, she was SVP and Chief Human Resources Officer at a large community bank in Massachusetts.
Before taking the leadership position in banking, Judy launched her own human resources and strategic planning consulting practice where, for over a decade, she advised over 130 for-profit and non-profit organizations in New England. Industries included: high tech, manufacturing, financial services, utilities, auto auction, advertising, hospitality, State government, higher education, and Paul Newman’s Whole in the Wall Gang Camp. Earlier in her career, Judy was the Director of Career Services at a business college.
In 2017, Judy earned the prestigious Human Resources Professional of the Year Award from the Society for Human Resources Management-New Mexico (SHRM-NM). She was also honored with the YMCA Cape Cod Board of Directors Leadership Award in 2010.
Judy has an MBA from Clark University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Syracuse University. She is certified by the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) as an “anti-discrimination trainer”. Judy is also a Master and Certified Primal Health Coach. She has been a practitioner and teacher of Thought Field Therapy (TFT), also known as “Tapping”, for over two decades.
Judy is a former columnist for the Business Journals of Cape Cod and Worcester, MA, in addition to being the author of three American Management Association books and courses.
